UHT Equipment
UHT Technology
Tuchenhagen Dairy System's UHT (Ultra-High-Temperature) plants are reliable
aseptic processing of drinks, such as the juice, tea and milk. Production
safety, outstanding product quality and efficiency are all characteristics of
progressive engineering.
Heat treatments are used to destroy all or
some of the microorganisms present in the raw product. Furthermore more or less
complete inactivation of enzymes occurs, depending on the temperature and
treatment time. How to retain as many as possible of the good organoleptic and
nutritive properties of the raw material, GEA Tuchenhagen Dairy System has been
devoting to research and developing the heat method for many years.
Flexible Solutions
GEA Tuchenhagen Dairy System's UHT plant was the first tubular system with a
multi-tube heat exchanger with straight tubes and brought a great new opinion
in this area. The UHT technology offers the ideal pre-requisites for a plant to
meet prevailing product requirements. Short heating and cooling phases ensure
excellent product quality.
GEA Tuchenhagen Dairy System's UHT plant
uses the VARITUBE for the heat treatment, which is a straight tube heat
exchanger with one or more inner tubes situated in a shell. A completely
“welded” unit as well as a flexible design is available. The inner tubes can be
either plain or corrugated. Different diameters of the product tubes and the
shell tubes can be selected, so according to the requirements, the most
suitable type can be chosen from a wide range of heat ex-changers.
Construction Character
All parts of THE in contact with the product are made of material no.1.4571
(equivalent to AISI 316 Ti). According to different capacity of the plant and
different type of product, there is different installation of internal product
tubes.
The gaskets are only used between the THE and the bend. It is very easy to
disassemble the bend to inspect the internal tube.
Most heat exchanges
are built 3,000 mm long.
